The Los Angeles Lakers have officially secured a top-six playoff berth in the Western Conference and clinched the Pacific Division title following the Phoenix Suns’ 115-111 loss to the Orlando Magic.

 

With the result, Phoenix dropped to 42-34 and now trails Los Angeles (49-26) by 7.5 games with just six games remaining—eliminating any chance of catching the Lakers in the standings.

 

The Lakers become the sixth team in the league to lock in a playoff spot, joining the Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, and New York Knicks.
